RPC powder
coating is a surface treatment process that offers a more
durable, longer-lasting alternative to traditional liquid paint.
When the powder is applied to the substrate and
then heated to
its’ melting point, it flows to form a smooth film that dries to a
hard, durable finish that is resistant to scratching, cracking,
peeling, UV rays and rust. Powder coatings have
become the coating technology of choice for consumable goods from
toolboxes, bicycles, office furniture, and lawn furniture to
widespread markets such as appliances, automotive and motorcycle
manufacturing because:
·
Extremely tough, durable films that enhance the high
quality, value-added image of consumer products.
·
Performance properties (impact resistance,
flexibility, and corrosion resistance) are better than with liquid
paints.
·
Powder coated parts resist cracking, peeling, and
marring during handling and normal service use.
·
Merchandise is specifically advertised as "POWDER
COATED" because of the quality image it projects.
·
Cost saving alternative to liquid paints with respect
to energy savings, labor costs, rework costs, material usage, waste
disposal, and overall line efficiency.
·
Unlike many liquid paints, powder coatings are
compliant with environmental regulations, free of major pollutants,
and properly formulated powder coatings generate no hazardous
post-processing sludge.
